The Kodiaq will turn to hybrid powertrains with two options. The entry-level Kodiaq will come with a 1.5-litre TSi engine paired with a mild-hybrid system and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. There will also be a plug-in hybrid setup that will come with a 1.5-litre TSi engine mated to a 25.7kWh battery pack. This setup will combine to produce 201bhp and come with a DSG gearbox. It offers lots of space, up to seven seats, a plush interior, relatively strong and efficient engines, and decent handling.
If you’re in the market for a practical family SUV there’s few that can match the all-round performance of the Skoda Kodiaq.
Skoda offers some really cool, clever features that’ll help to catch your eye. An ice-scraper housed in the fuel bay door is one example, as are the umbrellas tucked away into the front doors - just like you get on a Rolls-Royce. Talk about posh... All the tech features are up to a good standard as well, with the option of a large digital driver’s display available.
Once launched, it will continue to rival SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian.
Skoda has confirmed that it plans to launch the Kodiaq in India, probably in early 2024.
