The 5-series has long served as BMW's middle-child sedan, offering a just-right size for buyers .The 2025 BMW 5-series has lost some of the sports-sedan sharpness that previous generations offered but it remains a solid choice among mid-size luxury sedans for its high-end cabin and modern tech. Inside, the new BMW 5 Series gains the curved infotainment screen setup that we’ve experienced in other products from the Munich-based brand. In this application, a 12.3-inch digital cluster is connected to a 14.9-inch central screen that runs BMW’s iDrive 8.5 operating system.
Engine and Performance
The BMW 5 Series is available with one petrol engine, offering 208hp, and a pair of plug-in hybrid versions with up to 489hp. Notably, there’s no diesel version,
The 2024 BMW 530i comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (255 horsepower, 295 pound-feet of torque) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard. The engine pairs with a small electric motor for extra acceleration and low-speed power. The new four-cylinder gains 7 hp and 38 lb-ft compared to the outgoing engine, and BMW says the 530i will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, or 5.8 seconds with all-wheel drive.
The 540i will come with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder (375 hp, 384 lb-ft) with low-end torque that can be temporarily boosted to 398 lb-ft thanks to similar electric-motor assist. The new six-cylinder gains 40 hp and 52 lb-ft, enough to propel the 540i from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, BMW says. That's nearly 0.5 seconds faster than its predecessor. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission come standard.
Interior
The 2024 BMW 5 Series will feature redesigned sport seats covered in synthetic Veganza upholstery. As the name implies, it's a vegan leather substitute that comes standard in black, but is also available in white, red, and brown. Real Merino leather is available as an option.
Like most current BMWs with the new iDrive 8.5 system, the 5 Series' dash panel hosts an expansive widescreen that joins a 12.3-inch digital gauge display with a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Fortunately, the 5 Series' display looks better integrated than those perched on top of the dash as in other models, but it remains the cabin's dominant feature. As BMW moves away from physical buttons in its interiors, the new Interaction Bar is a touch-sensitive strip that can adjust climate control and activate hazard lights.
The new 5 Series' additional length doesn't expand the cabin very much. Legroom is nearly identical to that of the outgoing model in front and a half-inch bigger in back. Headroom remains about the same, but shoulder room opens up by a half-inch in front and 1 inch in the rear. Oddly, trunk space shrinks a bit, but still offers a useful 18.4 cubic feet of room. The rival Audi A6 has a much smaller trunk with just 13.7 cubic feet of capacity.

An expression of authority. A pursuer of limitless adventure. Imagined for the bold, brave, and fearless who traverse without inhibition, day or night.
Black Badge Cullinan Series II represents a new dawn for Rolls-Royce. For the first time, it transcends from the darkness and moves into the light.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the first SUV Rolls-Royce has ever produced, named after the world’s largest uncut diamond.
Under a hood topped with the Spirit of Ecstasy is a buttery-smooth twin-turbo V-12 with up to 592 horsepower that's moored to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard, as is a cabin that's so softly padded and quiet, its silence at 70 miles per hour is indistinguishable from an isolation chamber. Coach doors open regally for entry into the rear seat, which is as comfortable as a thick leather couch.
the Black Badge Cullinan Blue Shadow Private Collection is added for 2024. Inspired by the area above the Earth's surface where space begins, known as the Karman Line, the Blue Shadow Cullinan will be limited to just 62 units.

You can choose to fit the Cullinan with either what Rolls-Royce calls Lounge or Individual seats. The former is the most practical option and comes with three rear seats that can be folded down should you ever need to carry more than the Cullinan’s 560-litre boot (600 litres with the parcel shelf removed) can manage. The car’s huge size should mean there’ll be ample head, leg and shoulder room for three large adults to sit very comfortably indeed.
The seats of the new Cullinan can now be sheathed in a new textile, which Rolls-Royce calls “Duality Twill”. This new rayon fabric made from bamboo is offered in three colors — Lilac, Chocolate, and Black, with 51 different thread-color choices.
The Cullinan Series II also gets an all-new infotainment setup. A new permanently visible central touchscreen adorns the finely trimmed dashboard of the Cullinan Series II. This new infotainment setup features the SPIRIT operating system, first introduced in the all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre
